Our last event on September 15th marked one year of TGL, and we celebrated with a packed house at the Times Square Event Space.
Held on International Democracy Day, we discussed the fate of American democracy with four exceptional speakers: History Professor O’Donnell opened the day with a talk on the first chapter of American democracy, The American Revolution. Our second speaker, Prof. Allitt, engaged us in a riveting discussion on how Law & Religion coincide. Prof. Adam Tooze, recently featured in NYT Book review, took the podium to give a provocative lecture about our current democracy and its probability of disintegrating. Finally, Neera Tanden, political advisor, talked about the future of America’s democracy. With raving reviews, we are excited to see you at our next event on December 1st!
